Easton Synergy ST girdle

Recommended Posts

Edit: Synergy ST10 Girdle.

I'm very interested in getting into a girdle/shell setup. My local shop doesn't get any real demand for girdles so they don't stock any current models. They did have a Easton Synergy ST (not the ST '10) in my size. They let me try it on and take home to play with for a couple days (the guys who runt the shop are great) to see if it's something I'd like. I was originally looking at the CCM Vector girdle or the Bauer APX.

The fit with the Easton is just fine, but my question is if anyone has an oppinion/experience with this girdle? My LHS is willing to sell me the Easton girdle for $50 and it's brand new. They would have to order in any of the new girdles and charge me standard retail price. Does anyone have experience with this girdle to comment on it's performance vs a newer model like the CCM or Bauer? Just trying to get some information before putting money down. I couldn't dig up anything major on the Easyon Syngery ST other than maybe some durability issues with the stitching. It seemed to fit alright and seems very mobile. I'm currently using the CCM Vector 06 pants so the protection of the Easton girdle seems to be the same if not better around the hip/kindey area.

I play in a non-hit adult rec league and the padding of my CCM Vector 06 pants is just fine. Just looking for something that is more form fitting compared to standard pants. I'm already leaning towards the Bauer APX or CCM, but was hoping to maybe get someone elses experience on the Easton girdle before doing so. Thanks.

I did read the reviews on that one which is why I was interested in the X:60/APX. I will most likely go that way as, even though it's more money, it allows me the wrap and is better put together.

i have the st10, it is a very good girdle, my only beef with it is the very little spine padding compared to pants. but they seem to have fixed it with the st , which is the new blue one i think, and is better overall.

Yeah, the model I'm talking about is the one before the newer blue/black Synergy ('10) model. The one my LHS loaned me is the black/grey version.

So you have the easton st10 model then. Is it this one? That is the one i have too

Yes, that is the one. Sorry, I'm at work so I couldn't look it over to double check. The stiching looked really subpar to me and part of me was disappointed it is not a wrap style. I was impressed with the thigh padding and the hip/kidney seemed more than enough. It was comfortable and fit snug. But I did notice it lacked the spine/tail bone padding compared to newer model girdles. Which is also something that may sway me.

i am not sure either why did they put so much padding in front and on the side, and its almost as if youre looking at a different girlde when you look in the back. oh well, for 50$ id say go for it.

I used to have the Easton S-15 Motion combo and the sides of the Easton Girdle look similar to the girdle portion of that combo. I now use the Warrior Projekt girdle. In comparison the Easton was a little beefier when it came to side/hip padding (yet I feel the Warrior padding is sufficient in this area), but the spine padding is more substantial on the Warriors.

Personally, I prefer the Projekts over the Eastons, however; $50 for the Eastons is a good deal if you're happy with the fit.

Thanks for the input guys. I'm sure I'll go with the Easton since the price is so good. I figure it will be a cost efficient way to make sure I trully want to play with a girdle setup.
