Reebok 7 pants vs Bauer supreme and vapor

Recommended Posts

Looking to upgrade my vapor 3.0 pants for some more protection. Tried on vapor 5.0 and supreme one 60. The supreme are a bit bulky. Ruled them out immediately. I like the vapor but they seemed a little more restrictive compared to the 3.0. Guessing cause of the extra padding. I'm sure they'd loosen up though.

What I didn't get to try on are the reebok 7k. I'm interested in them. Just seeing how they compare fit and protection wise to the other 2. Also, is the vapor 5.0 and reebok 7k going to provide enough protection over the vapor 3.0 to make it worth it? This is just d league rec. protecting me from me more than anybody else.

as far as protection ( as specially hip ) they will be superior to both of the Bauers that you've tried on. The fit , though , will be similar to the supreme from the hips down. The kidney and spine on the 7k feels a bit smaller IMO , and seems to stay closer to the body than does the lower-mid level Bauer.

have a budget? i just got x7.0's and they are really nice. at first i thought they were too tight and restricting, turns out they are very snug and have a great range of motion. upgraded from one55's and as soon as i put them on i could tell how much of a protection difference there was.

I've been wearing the Reebok 7k pants for about a year now and I haven't even gotten a bruise yet. They provide plenty of protection for bumps and falls, and the thigh pads are thick enough to not worry about blocking the occasional shot. Good buy for a mid-range pant.

Whats an extra $20? Its not like with that mentality you'll eventually be convincing yourself from that x7.0 price point to the APX price point

Based on what I've seen, sold and have history with... The Bauer $100 pant is the best bang for the buck. I'd either buy X7.0s or the 7K, wouldn't bother with the X5.0. Another good pant for the $ would be the CCM U+ 12. I'd check that out as well.
