Early 2000's Bauer Vapor 10 heating time

Recommended Posts

I picked up a pair of early 2000's vapor 10s on eBay in my size and in good condition so I figure I'm going to give them a shot and see if they're as good as I remember. However, I can't remember the appropriate baking time for them. I seem to remember it was something like 7 minutes, but that could be wrong. Does anyone remember the correct baking time? Also, does anyone have experience with putting LS2s on these skates?

If they have the original steel, don't even think of swapping them out. That was the best steel Bauer ever put on a skate.

8 min

I'd be vary wary of putting LS2 for the simple fact that the heel is very narrow on that skate. Just make sure your guy knows what he is doing, because there's no going back from there.

You mean the black steel with the triangle holes? Because yes, they still have those.

MSH: Knowledge. That steel held a fabulous edge and cut very well. Black is cooler anyway.
