BASE Hockey Stick Lies

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I am currently debating whether to order a BASE stick because being such a low skater, I have been searching for a lie 4 for a while - but to no avail. My question is whether BASE actually produces a true lie 4, or whether they scale their lies like Warrior does? I am planning on ordering the BM12. Has anyone ordered a Lie 4 from BASE? All Input and comments are appreciated.

Thanks!

is their lie 6 like an easton 5.5? i want to order a bm09 in the same lie as my p91a which is a 5.5 but they dont have the option for a 5.5. they only offer 4,5 and 6.

Not quite sure if the lie 6 is like a 5.5 in Easton. Only assuming it's close.

If the 5 and 4 are accurate, as people in this topic have claimed them to be, then the 6 is probably pretty accurate as well.

You would typically add 1 to any of Warrior's listed lies. This is because they use a different scale/method of measuring lies, and why it appears they offer a lie 4 when it is actually a 5. Thanks for all the comments - I've just ordered my base stick and am excited to say the least!

This is not true for all warrior blades. I really wish people would stop repeating false information.

Wow, and directly after Chadd's post....

Yep, and people wonder why I get so frustrated at times. A lot of people don't want to have to think, they just want a simple formula, even if it's wrong.

Bump..

Also curious to know how the BASE BM09 6 lie compares, in lie, to the Bauer P92..

Anyone on the board have a BM09 6 lie in their possession?!

I ended up purchasing a different curve, but I've been to their facility in Burnaby and compared their lie 6 Sakic clone to the retail Sakic curve I brought in, and the lies were the same. While Easton list most of their standard curves as 5.5 lie, Bauer list the same curves as a 6 lie, so it seems like they measure lie very similarly to Bauer (for example, the Bauer P92 and Easton Sakic have the same lie, but Bauer calls it a 6 lie, while Easton calls it a 5.5). If you buy a lie 6 curve from them, the lie will probably be pretty similar to that of a standard (lie 6) P92 or P91A, though of course the rocker could be dramatically different depending on what curve you buy.
