215BroadStBullies610 435 Report post Posted September 5, 2012 I just opened the USA Hockey magazine and just saw the paper ad. So sweet! Exton is only 30 mins away from home and 10 mins from work! Now I don't have to rely on inconsistent pro shops and/or going to Cherry Hill. Total Hockey picked two solid locations. Both close to high traffic rinks in the Philly 'burbs. Hooah4 12 Report post Posted September 6, 2012 gonna suck for the couple of pro shops around here. Especially the one a mile or 2 away from there. they're offering to match prices
Chadd 916 Report post Posted September 6, 2012 this looks pretty cool.do they always staff the stores with knowledgeable people? It's no different than any other shop in that regard. I've had people there tell me things that were flat out wrong, just like pretty much every other shop I've been in.

Gomer 1 Report post Posted September 21, 2012 How big are total hockey stores? Similar to hockey giant in cherry hill? They r opening a total hockey near me in Rockville, md. Pumped. It looks big enough. I'm excited too. Moved here from Michigan where hockey gear was easy to come by. Here not so much.I've never been to a TH, but they have a $40 rewards card that offers free sharpenings on Tuesdays, free return shipping, and 10% cash back store credit reward.Do you know when it opens? tmw1582 6 Report post Posted September 21, 2012 The Total Hockey I go to here in the Chicago burbs is ok. I've had some real bad experiences there, some ok experiences there, but no good experiences there. The staff there does not really seem to care much about the consumer, but maybe I just catch the wrong guys all the time. They do have a good selection and put things on sale from time to time so I still frequent there even though they are not customer friendly. If I know I'm gonna have questions or need to speak to someone with any knowledge (like for trying on skates) I go Gunzos instead even though it is about 25 minutes further from me. nittanypucker 1 Report post Posted October 13, 2012 I was at the one at Montgomeryville (Philly suburb) a couple of times now. The staff is semi-knowledgeable but they have some young kids; overall they were helpful. The store is pretty large, much bigger than most local hockey shops. Very large selection of gloves, skates and pants. Going to be tough for the local shops to compete due to the massive selection.
Hooah4 12 Report post Posted October 14, 2012 was @ Montgomeryville location last week. Took my son and one of his friends. Place is the size of a Dick's sporting goods store. Prices are same as the website. Staff is decent. Supposedly one of the workers there is Joe Mullen's kid.
