Mid curve inbetween Backstrom/Hall and Kane

Recommended Posts

I am look at buying a new stick and thinking about getting a prostock 11k but I want to try a new curve. I have been using the sakic/Hall/P92 curve for a longtime and want a more mellow curve. But I'm afraid the kane curve might me to much of a difference. If you wouldn't mind could tell me if any of these curves might be what im looking for. They have to be left and 85 flex. http://www.hockeymon...ro-grip-sr.html Also if you know of any other curves retail or prostock that might be worth trying please tell me for future reference

Another thing to point out is that i really liked the way the rs loaded and the pop in it but i wanted a more durable version. Would the 11k be similiar to rs because of the kickpoint.

None of the curves listed as 85 and LH are between those two curves, most appear to be heel curves of some type.

What don't you like in the P92?

According to me, the rs & 11k both have a low kickpoint, however, I doubt that going for the 11k is the way to go in terms of durability.

the 11k is the most durable stick I have ever used. Heard nothing but great things about durability from my entourage too, coming from high level players.

well that sucks, since the k11 is suppose to be a toned down sakic and the sk-11 is a sakic clone does that make the h-11 a bigger toe than the sakic

The picture of the H-11 on the blade chart looks like a pure heel curve, assuming you trust those images.

i went from a p92 to a p88 and it *looked* like a huge difference, but on the ice i feel way better using the kane. i had a problem with keeping my shots down on the p92 also.

i think from that list i'd try the eakins or H11

I have an 11K pro stock with an H-11 curve, and it's very, very similar to a P92. I actually don't have a P92 in front of me at the moment, but I do have a Warrior Kopitar, and it's nearly identical to the Kopitar (which is Warrior's version of the Sakic). The Kopitar is ever so slightly more of a heel curve than the H-11 (the curve starts slightly earlier, and the toe is slightly straighter), but I believe the Kopitar is also ever so slightly more of a heel curve than the P92. If you want a toned down P92, don't go with the H-11, since it's essentially a P92 clone, not a toned down version.

The closest thing I can think of to a toned down P92 in terms of retail curves is a P106.

In terms of the curves on that link, I'd say the F. Neilsen (left 85) and E. Gustafsson (left 80) both look like somewhat toned down H-11s, though it's hard to say without seeing them in person.

I have two 10k H-11's, a Vapor XXV P92 and a Mac Daddy Draper. I find the H-11 to be very similar to the P92. The H-11 might be a tad more open faced.

I went from the Sakic to the Iginla with good results. The Iginla is a tad bit shorter than the Sakic, but other than that it was an easy adjustment. I went from the Iginla to the P88 last year and now I can't play with anything but the P88. I've had a few games with my old Iginla and for whatever reason it was too different.
