Easton RS flex question

Recommended Posts

I looked earlier but couldn't find anything on this. On the Easton RS (the original one) is the flex true to what it is listed as or do you have to cut it down 2 inches to get the listed flex? Thanks for any help.

The only Easton Stealth that were softer than the listed ratings were the S17 as far as I know. An uncut stock length RS will be the exact flex rating that is marked on the stick. I believe its add +4 to the flex for every inch you cut it down but there are others here who know much more about that stuff than I.

Correct me someone please if I'm wrong but, I was under the impression that every 3 inches for Easton is 5 flex points, and that an Easton does flex whippier than rated on every stick(minus the S17), because of where they hold the stick while testing its flex rating. 3 inches from the top of the stick would effectively give you an extension, which in turn opens more options for flex before cutting. That's how I have worked it for awhile now. Workin' so far..............

So you are saying that if I bought an 85 flex I would have to cut it 3 inches to actually have an 85 flex?

They "fixed" the flex specification issue (someone could say) with the new RS2. S19 and RS2 have the same flex specs ... RS as said is having more flex than specified. It takes some time to adapt but works out fine anyway too - just personal preference.
