Bauer supreme question

Recommended Posts

I think I've exhausted all efforts on my Bauer x.4 vapors to make them work. I think they are just not right.

I wore them 2-3 days a week for 6 months now so I got my money worth.

I plan on still skating 2-3 times a week and am thinking about the supreme One.6 or one.7. 150 price difference.

Any suggestions? Is it worth going up to the one.7? The vapor 4.0 are the same price level as one.6

As with skates every time, get the ones that fit best and don't limit yourself to Supreme.

Even though they're the same price level, I find the 4.0 stiffer than the One.6.

After doing research on the web, I had my eyes set on the Bauer supremes or the nexus skates and i went into hockey monkey this past weekend to try them on and the nexus were super wide for my feet and the supremes were just right and felt really good on my feet. I was considering getting the one.6 cause they were cheaper but i decided to go with the one.7 which came in the mail today, id rather spend a little bit more money and get a way more comfortable skate long term. But i didn't want to pay full price for the skate so i took to ebay and got lucky and scored them for $280 shipping and tax free. It was an awesome score. (if it wasnt able to find them on ebay, then i would have just given in and bought them from an actual store)

I've tried on ccm, reebok, nexus, supreme, Easton since the vapors started to bother me. Supreme was best fit.

Haven't been able to try Graf or Mission.

Not yet. Did you find that as they break in you have mire room up front? With my vapors they fit great at first length wise then as they broke in its like my ankle moved back further into the skate and then I had all this extra space/length in the forefoot. I didn't like it.

thats typically going to happen with most skates. If you think about it when you first try on a pair all the foam and insides are new and stiff. As you start wearing them and breaking them in the foam and insides soften up around your foot to be more comfortable. You just want to make sure when you buy skates that your foot is feathering the toe cap and you should be fine.

honestly when i was first trying on the skate, my front toe was barely touching the end of the skate. As ive been skating in them i find that the toes have been more comfortable and not pressing up on the end of the skate. they are going to break in and not be as tight as the first time you tried on the skate cause obviously your foot molds into the skate.

Regarding the width, what models are available in a C width? I assume it's a special order but only for the nxg or what?
