voxyledbetter 9 Report post Posted December 21, 2012 I searched but only found one from 2009.What gear or hockey related items did you ask for or receive this year. (Or what gear did you buy for yourself as a present). I figured I'd post this now and then as Christmas comes up in the next couple days we can post up.Me personally, I asked for a new pair of Bauer or Mission roller pants and a Warrior thermal 1/2 zip from the g/f. Last year I joked about her buying me a stick... And she actually did... A S19, right curve and flex. What a keeper.Oops, mods is there a way you can put a "y" in that title. Sorry. badger_14 601 Report post Posted December 22, 2012 My dad helped me pay for another session of beer league. Also, my fiancee gave me the money to purchase a jacket from the association I coach for, so I look slightly more official and slightly less like one of the head coaches' children. chk hrd 164 Report post Posted December 29, 2012 My son has left for the Air Force in August and hasn't even seen ice since he has been gone. We were lucky enough to have him home for Christmas. I rented the ice and we had the guys from our mens team and the kids he grew up playing with come for a pick up hockey game. Best hockey present I could have asked for or given! Best hockey present I could have asked for or given!Awesome! My hockey-related holiday wish is to get to skate with my dad (age 70) over the holidays. Due to scheduling and family drama, we haven't seen him yet, but I'm hoping to get a skate in next week. Fortunately, the guys at our shinny sessions are very cool about him or anyone else dropping in.At this point in our lives, I cherish every chance I get to skate with him. It's even better if I can set him up for a goal. Ironically, he'll often whiff on nice setups from me and then score on a play that he has no business finishing on. I don't get it, but we have a good laugh when it happens.

chk hrd 164 Report post Posted December 31, 2012 I couldn't wait for my son to turn 18 so we could play hockey together. We got to play together for about 6 months before he left for the Air Force. Of all the years we been involved with hockey this was probably the most special time. Enjoy it if and while you can
