Bauer TotalONE NXG questions

Recommended Posts

Hi

I have some questions about this skates.

I currently use Vapor x:60. Would there be an improvement in skating performance if I am to switch to TotalONE NXG? Or it's really an individual thing?

Along that I have 8.5EE size on my x:60s. Does it mean that I would want the same EE size for TotalONE?

Thanks in advance.

It's really an individual thing. The best fitting skate will give you the best performance, regardless of brand/model. That said... a Vapor E will equal a Supreme D. Best is to go try some on, and see which one fits better for you.

The Supreme NXG does offer a better range of motion than the Vapor; that being said you might like that or not. I switched from the Vapor APX to the Supreme NXG and I personally liked the change.

All, thank you for feedback.

The reason I got EE on Vapor is I could never get rid of the pressure points on my big ankle bones in many skates. EE worked very well for me.

Bad thing is when you try them on in a shop it's not the same once you start skating.

I wonder why Mr. Gummer saying EE is Supreme D?

There are plenty of threads here discussing Vapor vs. Supreme skate fit, and explaining the relative widths. Gummer merely reiterated what is common knowledge.

Supreme T1 NXG is on an oversized last. A D is equivalent to a true-to-last E. Vapor is on a true last. So, an EE Vapor will be slightly wider than a Supreme D.
