wrangler 157 Report post Posted January 17, 2013 I suppose it was inevitable that someone would make a movie to exploit the Penn State scandal, so the announcement came as no surprise. I was somewhat surprised by the choice of director, Brian De Palma, a man who carries excess to the point of ostentation. We are apparently to expect more of the same in this movie, based on the producer's remark making a point of this being the same team behind "Carlito's Way" and "Scarface". Al Pacino will star, and the ironic, though geographically pertinent, title will be "Happy Valley".http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/8854348/actor-al-pacino-play-former-penn-state-coach-joe-paterno-upcoming-movie
mack 44 Report post Posted January 18, 2013 I would have thought Gus Van Sant or Roman Polanski would have been the ones to take on this film.
Chadd 916 Report post Posted January 19, 2013 It will be interesting to see who they get to play Sandusky. I think Pacino could work really well in the Paterno role.
