mikeamato1980 1 Report post Posted February 5, 2013 I have a pair of Nike/Bauer Vapor XXV' size 8 D and they fit pretty. I am thinking about buying Reebok 11k's. Do Reebok's and Bauer fit similiar size wise? Can anyone recommend the 11k's? I wear inbetween a 9 and 9.5 in shoe size. Closer to a 9.5 though. Help

mikeamato1980 1 Report post Posted February 5, 2013 I wear a 9.5 shoe size, and I just Recieved my Reebok 11k 7.5 D today and they feel kinda tight. I have been told that if I bake them they will expand a little bit. Also I can hear them and get them punched? Has anyone tried this? I wear a 8d in Bauer Vapr XXV skate. Would a Reebok 11k 8 D fit the same. I know that as soon as I sharpen or bake the skate though that I cannot return them. I need some advice on testing the skate and seeing if its the right fit. Where should my toe be? All answers welcome

All answers welcomeYou want them to be snug and tight, you don't want them to cause pain. I don't believe in buying skates with the hopes of making them fit through manipulations like punching spots. One thing to consider is the time of day that you skate and you try on a skate. If you skate late at night or in the evening, don't judge your size based on how they feel at 8AM. your feet tend to swell over the course of the day. As for your toe, you should be able to feel the tip of the toe cap, but not so much that it hurts. When you bake, the heel will open up and they will get very slightly longer. The U-plus I need a 6 3/4 on my larger foot if I was to go custom. oldtrainerguy28, on 04 Feb 2013 - 22:41, said:I would start at & and work your way up. The reason I go the other way is that if someone even more so a higher end guy says oh yah that feels good after you measured him at a 7 let's say and he had a nine before and he gets down to an 8 he is still loosing performance. If he ended at a 7.5 I wouldn't feel to bad if he came back and said they feel a little big. Then I have options such as Superfeet if he didnt already get them and Stable 26 socks. But I do understand guys doing the other as well if your close to start your close. Just some customers parents are oh let johnny grow. (mom hes 18 he aint growing)....LOL"You want them to be snug and tight, you don't want them to cause pain. I agree as well if you have to do more than a slight punch and heat then its not the right skate. That being said when someone puts it on and you know its the right size and model and thee like "ohhhh it hurst so bad in say a vapor and then they put the exact same size on in a supreme and say oh my god thats so perfect you have to just smile and say oh yah buddy your so right!" and sure someone may feel better in the larger fit but doesnt mean its the right fit but when they make a whole production out of how the Vapor was so wrong and way to small......LOL
