Ice pant fit for Warrior Franchise/Bonafide/Projekt.

Recommended Posts

I'm currently in the market for a new ice pant (looking into the Warrior Franchise). Currently I have some old CCM pro stock that fit great in length but are SO wide in the waist I have to rig my shoulder pads to hold up the ice pant (not a fan of suspenders).

I'm 6'1". 170lbs. Waist size is 32"

I went to my LHS and tried on some Bonafide (could wear a small or medium it seemed) and the new 2012 Projekt (could wear a medium or large).

I liked the fit of the Bonafide more than the Projekt.

I'm just wondering what size Franchise I might wear? Or if they fit more like a Bonafide (I'd prefer) or the Projekt?

Any feedback would be awesome. Thanks guys!

If you go on to the Warrior Customizer, there is a pdf of the exact dimensions of the franchise pant from inseam length, total length, waist measurement, etc. for every pant size.

If we look at overall feel, the Franchises will feel more like the Bonafides, in terms of a more traditionally canted pant. The Projekts are more of a forward canted pant with a higher spine and angled kidney guards (like Easton Stealth) with thinner (but still high density) lower profile padding.

Love my projekts, they're a slimmer profile but lots of protection for me. Preferred them over the Bauer APX pants

this isn't really about fit but still something to consider. I had a pair of Bonafides and the fit was fine albeit smaller than my Franchises and Hustlers but what I hated was the placement of the inseam zippers. they were so far back on the leg that they were basically uselesss.
