cbmayer 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2013 So a while ago I bought an Easton 65S, and it was my first time buying/using an easton stick. Love the way it plays but after only 1 use I noticed the finish started cracking, so I took it back to my LHS and they told me not to worry about it as it was just cosmetic. So now after using this stick for around 2 or 3 months (playing games once a week with the occasional session on the ODR) this cracking has continued to get worse and worse.I was just wondering if this is normal or if it has happened to anyone else? Like i said I love the way the stick plays but this makes me hesitant to buy an easton stick again as I have never had this problem with Bauer or CCM sticks. Here are some pictures so you can see what I'm talking about. JSK81 400 Report post Posted March 20, 2013 It's just the grip coating peeling off, nothing serious.
cbmayer 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2013 Yeah that what I figured it was, still want to know is this has happened to others. I don't want to spend money on another easton stick if the grip cracks off all/most of them.
bolt91 31 Report post Posted March 20, 2013 Happens on a lot of sticks; not just Easton.
TeamHonda401 54 Report post Posted March 21, 2013 Every composite stick I've owned has looked like that at some point in it's life. Normal wear and tear.
