Bauer Total One Shaft with soft grip?

Recommended Posts

By soft grip are you referencing the sort of matte finished with just a touch of grip or the soft rubbery grip? In either case, the My Bauer site seems to offer both options.

That is true. I think you'll find it difficult to stick with the shaft if you have specific tastes. It seems like shafts are dying off.

Only option in the current Bauer product book is the grip. There are always ways to modify the grip and taylor it to your liking. I know guys would use a very fine grit sand paper and take the coating off or rub baby powder on the shaft. To each his/her own I guess, personally I either candy cane my sticks if they are too grippy or I use a coat of spray paint (doesnt matter the color, could be clear coat) and that makes the stick like the older "clear" sticks were.

:(

I'm right there with you on that. I don't understand the appeal of the OPS for the amateur player. A shaft and blade combo is cheaper in the long run for a lot of players. And the OPS benefits aren't enough to justify the cost for the average beer league player.

I found a batch of soft grip APX shafts in a tactile 77 flex a few months ago on ebay (basically what I would have ordered custom). Ebay is your best bet as pro stocks show up all the time.
