PartyPoker and skins are the only great places to play. FullTilt was way too tight when I played it last fall. Pokerstars is ok, but not great. If someone stayed in with 33, you should be happy. I lost with quad 9's (to quad J's) the other day. We both played it perfectly (ok, maybe he missed a few bets), but it's just how it goes. Even though he caught a 1 outer, I can't fault the way he played. Really, who wouldn't play a full house?

Play the horrible players on Party, collect the bonuses, and take the easy money.

Good lord Lego, I thought my recent beat was bad. I had A/K offsuit and went all-in before the flop after a few guys limped in. Everybody folds except this one guy (who was after me by the way and didn't act yet). He has K/4 suited (hearts) and calls me. He has slightly more chips than me so this wasn't a short-stack call either. The guy is mental. Anyways, flop comes all spades and neither of us hit a pair. I hold the only spade with my king too so i'm drawing to a flush as well. The guy has 2 of the 3 fours left to beat me I'm about 98% to win here. Turn card comes and nothing. River comes and it's the freakin 4 of diamonds. Not as bad as your 1 outer but a 2 outer loss felt like somebody had kicked me in the balls. I'm still in disbelief that he called me with K/4 suited. Whatever, that's poker.

Kovy and I were talking about that in the chat the other day. It'd have to be pretty cheap, most people wouldn't want to put down more than $5 or $10. Anyone know how to do this?

That might not be that bad of an idea. Do a test run or whatever to gauge actual interest. We all know how many people on here say they will do something, and then when it comes time to pay they back out.

I know this isn't "on-line poker", but this question has arose in the last 2 games I have played.

Which is Higher 5-Of-A-Kind or Royal Flush?

Obviously this is a wild Card situation. Is it house rules? I know the odds of grabbing a Royal Flush are still more difficult, but have seen both as the "highest hand".

In my weekly games at a friends house, 5 of kind or even 6 of depending on how many wild cards someone has is the highest possible hand, even beating a Royal Flush.

We play Baseball, where 3's and 9's are wild, but if you get a 3 face up you have to match the pot for it to be a wild card. If you get a 4 face up you can buy another card for a set amount. You see some really crazy hands in this game, if someone holds alot of wild cards. I personally won a hand the other night with 6 10's, I had Three 10's and then 3 wild cards.

Is it just me, or do bad beats happen way more often online than in real games? I've been playing for cash for 3 days now and have had terrible cards come. Five times in the past hour I've held top pair with either a Q K or A kicker against someone who has had top pair with a much worse kicker, usually 2-6, who either call me or reraise me until the river when they catch 2 pair. I've bet strongly preflop, on the flop, and on the turn, but they still call or raise every single bet. Literally five times this past hour. Its frustrating as hell, I had already doubled my deposit, but it got blown on those hands.

Don't sweat it. You'll profit over the long run from the suckers who stay in hands way longer than they should. I'm guessing that you're playing at a low limit table so you also have to take that into consideration. Lots of people continue with bottom/middle pair or draws way more than they should if it only costs them like $1-2. You've just ran into some bad luck. Remember that math always beats out luck in the long run.

Also remember that you can play about 2.5 times as many hands online as you can get in when you are at a casino, so they happen more often time-wise, but not hand-wise.

It is just variance, I am sure you will bounce back.

Sorry for all the repetative questions...

I got an offer from the site I play on (Pacific) that if I refer a friend and they deposit $50, the friend gets $50 and I get $100. Sounds like a good deal. So I'm reading the fine print, and in order for my friend to get his bonus money, he has to bet 40x the deposit. And for me to get my $100, my friend has to bet 40x that amount, so $4,000. Is that pretty standard? I understand that Pacific would obviously not be inclined to just give away free money, but this seems like it'd be near impossible for us to both get out money.

If you want to do it, you can set up a private table on party. I dont know about tourny tables.

how do you create a private table? when i try it says that it's not available at this time.

PartyPoker's recent reload bonus required you to play 700 raked hands.

I haven't played on Pacific, so I don't know exactly how the money/hand requirements work. $4k seems like a lot, but I'm guessing it will be about the same as 1k raked hands on party if you're a reasonable player. And if you're a loose player, it will probably be a lot easier.

I'd really play on Party or one of their affiliates. They often have reload bonuses and have the refer a friend bonus as well.

It's been a while and I couldn't tell you off-hand. I know it's possible though.

When you open Party Poker, go to Options--->Create Private Table. You can set up the game, Stakes and Max Buy in. You have to set up a password so people you invite can access the table.

I dunno if anyone is interested but I was thinking of setting up a private table/game for people from here, small stakes (.50/1.00). I'd rather play against people who I know then a bunch of fools going all in with 4-5 Off Suit lol

I'd be interested. I assume you're talking about PartyPoker, I'd have to Neteller some money over there, but I heard that isn't too difficult.
