DeI 18 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2013 Well, I haven't posted in a while, hope everyone's been alright. Even though it's been a long time, I still turn to this site when I have issues with playing and equipment, still love the insight and knowledge you all have to offer. Anyway, on to my issue.I go through my skates faster than anyone I know. I chalk that up to my skating style and everyone who knows me and my equipment has seen that I am extremely hard on my stuff, especially my skates. In the last 19 years, I've owned a lot of skates. I grew up on CCMs, switched to Reebok for a year until the pump broke, hopped into Vapor XXVs after them and that's where my big issue started. I went through 2 pairs of those, each lasting barely one season before eyelets would rip and the outsole would start to separate from the boot. After trying various quick fixes (epoxy, etc.), I wound up in Easton SE16s, and now currently in S17s (both white, naturally hahahh), to avoid the outsole issue entirely. I love them, the fit is great, but it seems to be coming to that time to test the waters for some new ones. I would love another pair, but the white ones are way too hard to find anymore (lazy me? Oops). Toying with maybe trying something new. My friend just picked up some Grafs and while I always wanted them, I just didn't have anywhere to really get a feel for or even see many of the models I was interested in.(Phew, novel over, now for the questions)Which Grafs fit most like the Eastons? What is the best way to go about measuring my foot completely? This way I can see what other options I may have. How is the durability of Graf's outsoles? Could my previous issue just have been shotty construction on Bauer's part? Would Graf fix outsole issues should they arise? Currently shaking in my boots at the thought of having to deal with their customer service...How do the G75/Ultra G5/older G5/705s hold up in the long run? So far, I've found those to fit the best (save for the 75s that I have yet to see).I'm really curious about G7/707s and Ultra G70s. What are those like/compare to?Lastly, are there any other suggestions you all may have? I want something that will perform well and preferably last me now that I'm getting out of college soon and moving on to my beer league career.Anything and everything you have to offer is greatly appreciated. ntwusc 62 Report post Posted April 9, 2013 I've generally found Graf's outsoles to be the worst looking of any on new skates I've looked at over the last few years. Many that I've seen look like the outsoles are already separating prior to having been skated on. My experience is that the high end Bauer Supreme skates, starting with the One95, have been tanks. Xuno 14 Report post Posted April 9, 2013 What size are you? I'm pretty sure there's one or two pairs of the white ones in our pro shop.

It does kinda look that way a little, but I've personally never heard of any actually coming off hahaa I also like how the holders are screwed on instead of the rivets for some reason... Another thing I tend to go through quickly lol as for the Supremes, I tried them on when they came out, I'm not sure how much they might have changed them (if at all) since then, but they really didn't seem to fit my feet rightWhat size are you? Only asking because I would love white Grafs too hahahaa but anyway, I'm a size
Xuno 14 Report post Posted April 10, 2013 I don't mean to get your hopes up but I think one of the pairs might be 8s. I'll check after I skate tomorrow.edit: if we don't then they do http://www.ebay.com/itm/Easton-S17-Hockey-Skates-Senior-Various-Sizes-NEW-/160914089713?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_2&var=&hash=item25773a26f1
