Any News on dlc based Steel?

Bauer has never produced any DLC steel, it seems pretty naive to believe that they would start now when they already have an enforcable monopoly on steel for this holder. Purchasing the facilities to do DLC blades would just cut into the guaranteed profits from the monopoly. It seems that no one wants to get past the fact that they are not going to be able to get both the new holder and their personal favorite aftermarket bling.
