zebra_steve 11 Report post Posted June 12, 2013 Chad,That's about as good as I've ever heard it explained - thank you!As with anything, the devil is in the details. I can't wait to see the training video for this. Maybe, just maybe, they are gonna actually tell us to call it as written? Take" hitting" out of the game and re-institute "true body checking"? Ignore the puck and cause the player to be thrown violently into the boards 2+10.... blow them up bug on a windshield hit 5+game?Dunno, but it's gonna be interesting. I predict it'll be all over the map and largely depended n your geographic area.....I've seen several referenced to a Minnesota program for a lot of the proposals that were not approved for vote but will be under review and consideration.... Do you have any more detail or maybe links to info?

Chadd 916 Report post Posted July 17, 2013 This is just going to add more confusion for coaches/parents/players haha. The fun never ends...Coaches and parents should be required to watch the videos they produce for referees. Overall, I like the direction they are headed, in regards to the playing rules. 215BroadStBullies610 435 Report post Posted July 17, 2013 I agree. When coaches/parents are properly educated, the players will feed off of a mature and positive environment. Unfortunately, I'd be very surprised if USA Hockey followed your mentality. I remember hearing about the 2+10 rule back in February. It makes sense because many officials would give boarding/roughing to avoid assessing checking from behind. No where to hide anymore.
