CCM footbeds

Recommended Posts

I had a pair of x:60's and am looking to get into new vapors after trying the mako's and not liking them. My 60s had superfeet, and with those not available at my workplace i was wondering if the new CCM footbeds eould work in a way reasonabky the same. To be clear I can't take the superfeet out of the 60s as i sold them

The CCM footbeds have great support like the Superfeet, plus they come in different configuations to semi-customize them to your feet, something the Superfeet doesn't. To select your CCM, you stand on their machine and it maps your feet to tell you if you have a low, medium or high arch. Then you determine if you are bowlegged, strait leg or knee knocker. Using those two parameters you then pick the footbed that matches your situation.

Support yes, but in different ways. The CCM product is an arch support, so it focuses on keeping that arch from collapsing. SF is a heel support, so they focus more on keeping that stable while aiming to address possible pronation or supination problems as well.

Although there is a difference when you compare them inside the skate, I find that on-ice performance for me at least, is about on par with each other.

I have very high arches so the flat and thin Nexus 1000 foot beds are not the most comfortable.

I purchased the High CCM foot beds. I love them they give me much more support and are very soft and comfortable. the only thing was there was such a difference in the thickness of them that it made my skate feel a little different. I re-baked my skates and they are now perfect. Although they are a little pricey, IMO they are definitely worth it.

I need new footbeds to replace my Superfeet yellows. With these and the Graf/Sidas #d's, I'm not sure which offers the best benefits. I have fairly flat and wide feet, and I did like my superfeet. Does anyone recommend the Superfeet vs Graf vs CCm over the others?
