I'm positive that the CL is low kick, and so is the Mako/V9. The RBZ has a "custom" flex profile, but it's supposed to flex below your bottom hand so I'd say it's a mid flex (maybe comparable to the T90, as it's not a 'pure' mid flex?)

Many of the sticks mentioned would be better described as a traditional tapered kick point, rather than a mid like the Nexus, a non-tapered shaft like the RBZ or ultra low kick point like the Vapor

If you had to pick what would be the closest.

I stand corrected, was pretty sure the CL was a low kick point but hockey monkey has it specified as a mid kick point! (http://www.hockeymonkey.com/ccm-hockey-stick-uplus-crazy-light-grip-sr-2011.html) And the mako is a low kick point stick, but the stealth Eastons low kick point where as the mako replaced the SE 16 and comes off as a "traditional" tapered stick. Similar to a TO. But I know what you mean.

What are you using now as a stick?

Bauer Nexus 1000 which i love so I use it as my measuring stick to see who else is doing the same thing. Boxy shaft, mid flex stick.

Any reason to not just get another Nexus? I went through two of them then switched around to a couple more, but it has a pretty independent feel, honestly most sticks do, so if it worked well in the first place my suggestion is to stick with it.

Basically what I did. Not cheap.

I got ya. Maybe give a T90/T100 a shot, decent pricing and still that boxier, mid kick shaft. My issue was the shaft being too big and boxy for my hands, which felt at home with the Nexus.

RBZ I found to be even boxier/bigger in my hands, wasn't a huge fan of it, though the kick from the shaft and blade was impressive.

Maybe find an AI9 on closeout somewhere too, though I'm not experienced with it.

What about the nexus 600? The puck feel on that is still tremendous, and its only a bit heavier

I ended up buying the 1000 again. When I looked at the 600 I liked it. It just seemed really heavy compared to the 1000. I remember thinking if there was an "800" that would be perfect.

The bottom line is price. Bottom line i want a stick with Nexus features for 249 not 289. The hope is to find all the sticks with Nexus features and grab them when the price drops.

PS: if anyone finds in the coming years a Bauer Nexus 1000 RH Grip 87 flex Backstrom curve for 249 or less, I will buy it.
