Storing extra steel

When you keep an extra set of runners in your bag, what do you find to be the way to keep it from rusting from the moisture?

i wonder if you could save up some of those dessicant packets and put them in whatever you store the steel in, not sure if that would help but just a thought.

I use an old skate soaker and put that inside of a large Zip Lock freezer bag.

Wrap them in something to keep them from banging together, then slide them into a plastic mailing tube with the vinyl end caps (PVC pipe works too). Keeps them from getting bent.
