MLX Skates and lightspeed 2 holders and steel?

Recommended Posts

I heard the MLX were originally supposed to have LS2. I need to replace the steel on my MLX skates and since Easton bought them out you can no longer get any parts for them. Do the MLX holders holes line up with tuuk LS2 or will I have to drill new holes?

it's my understanding that Bauer will not sell their holders to any other manufacturer. It has nothing to do with Easton buying them at all.

I think you misread that --- MLX holder parts are no longer available due to being purchased by Easton.

That said, the holes DO NOT line up and will require re-drilling.

MLX skates were never going to have LS2 as Bauer wouldn't sell them the holders. That's why Kor went with the Pitch holder, Mission was the only major manufacturer that was willing to sell them holders.

VH skates come with LS2 holders and steel.

It's my understanding that they are not getting them directly from Bauer, though I do not have confirmation. VH is not doing a high volume yet.
