banachi26 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2014 I have had the One95s for about 2 years. Recently the skates have been hurting the bottom of my foot. I am wondering how to fix this? Also I noticed I lost an edge on the skates while skating causing my to fall alot (new steel about a year ago). The skates are old, should I try to fix these problems or buy new skates? For example, are you using the stock insoles, an aftermarket product such as Superfeet or perhaps a prescription orthodic? What part of the bottom of your foot? Did your lifestyle recently change (i.e. new job that requires you to be on your feet more)?Losing an edge on your blade is probably either a poor sharpening or you need to get your skates sharpened.2-years, depending on how often you skate, is not that old. Buzz_LightBeer 973 Report post Posted January 6, 2014 They began hurting out of the blue? Or after a lengthy lay off? Also, quantify "hurting" for me. Monty22 833 Report post Posted January 7, 2014 How tall is the steel? are you losing an edge on sharp turns? I wouldn't think the holders need to be changed unless they are damaged. I'll second the change the insoles recommendation- stock insoles are about as thin as you can get. Try something a bit more robust. Keep in mind an insole that is too thick may cause new fit problems by taking up too much volume. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Goonsquad 209 Report post Posted January 8, 2014 Sounds like the structure of the skate has broken down a little. in other words, if the rivet was not replaced correctly the boot will give a little, which you may or may not notice.Also look into aftermarket insoles. the stock insoles for the one95's may not offer as much arch support as say a superfeet type insole.
