Vapor x80 vs Reebok Ribcor 24k

Recommended Posts

I have been hearing that the Reebok Ribcor is the best stick out right now and im deciding between a vapor x80 or a ribcor 24k. Could i expect the Ribcor 24k to out preform the x80 like the Ribcor does to the APX 2?

im guessing its all in how you will view it, and how you like specific features. Concave sidewalls vs flat, kick point differences (ribcore line i think is entirely low/mid x80 is low) I dont think its safe to say because top end models out preform others, that this trickles down.

Stewie is right, you can’t base the comparison of other models in the line just based off the high-end flagship stick. In my opinion the 24K is a superior value to the x80. They both retail for the same price while the 24K is lighter and is better balanced.

exactly, the 24k doesnt even carry over the "breakthrough preloaded" design from the flagship model, so it will be completely a different animal. you may like the points he mentioned though, but I would feel around with it first.

I have the 24K and I really do like it, while I can't compare with the x80 as I haven't tried it I don't think you'd be disappointed with it.

The thing that irks the crap out of me with Reebok is that outside of the 150+ sticks, the lower end sticks don't even flex correctly. They twist and don't flex in a clean "arc". Take any of them and give them a slight press. You can literally flex the stick up and down. Terrible.
