Total One NXG Pants

Recommended Posts

Anyone have experience with these pants? I understand that they have an inner liner with a shell over them.. is that correct? If so, can a player still (comfortably) use a jock short with velcro for socks? Or are they more like a girdle where there is not really room for that configuration (comfortably)?

Thanks for any insight.

The description on the Bauer site says "external hook and loop closure (outer component)" AND ALSO "hook and loop outer shell attachment" which is confusing. Is this to say that there are velcro pads for securing socks? Or is this all about securing the shell to the girdle?

Last girdle she used had velcro tabs on it, so there wasn't an extra layer to contend with. I am sure it would fit fine, but I am concerned about an extra layer and being uncomfortable due to heat, plus she wears loose shorts with a Jill now. I would have to get her into some compression shorts as well. Now the price becomes a bit of a factor when you add the extras in.

I personally use the Vic loose short with a cup attached with the sock velcros on them. They work just fine. Besides, the girdle is adjustable and can make room if you prefer a slightly looser fit.

I've also found some loose shorts with a jill built-in. This would mean that you're only really wearing the girdle, the shorts and underwear, which is pretty bog standard.

I wear a loose jock under my girdle. Feels no different than just the girdle and no different than the jock with regular pants.

And on the NXG it's open crotch, so definitely better than the older pull-up girdles.

Been wearing a Bauer girdle in every form since 1995. Would NEVER go to a pant.

I feel much more mobility in girdles. The protection feels fine, I rarely feel shots that glance off the padding. It's solid. The comfort and the mobility this particular girdle offers is spectacular, and I've worn both loose fitting pants like the old TotalOne (Now Nexus) and even slimmer fitting ones like the Easton RSII. These are definitely my go-to pant and Bauer's line of girdles are going to be what I stick to from now on.
