Drilled Outsole picture?

Recommended Posts

Alright, got some outsole drilling related question:

What about the insole? Wouldnt it be smart to drill the holes also into the insole? The best option would be when the holes are exactly over each other - or would that generate some blisters (sometimes a skate barefeet)?

Sven, using the search to pull stuff out of the archives!

All of my skates with holes in the bottom have NOT been drilled/punched through the insole, only the sole of the boot and they work just fine.

Sven, I did drill some small holes in my superfeet insoles to aid in moisture transfer through the outsole and have not expierenced any blistering at all (I skate barefoot). I do not know what the result would be with a standard insole as I havn't used them in years. Will try to post a few pic's soon.

Oh thats cool, pics rule.

I definitely will drill holes in the outsole, so they dry a tad faster and also drop some sweat even while skating.

I just had this idea, because it seems actually more useful if there a also holes in the footbed instead just in the outsole.

(I never owned Vector skates, but just from looking at them in a store i somehow remember they have tiny (too tiny actually) holes in the retailfootbeds.
