CornTortillas 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2014 Alright, I readily admit this is super subtle but I'm curious more than anything. I've been using a Pro Stock Ai9 and assumed it was an E28/Kreps curve based on what I saw online. The bottom's splitting though so I just grabbed a new Easton in a Kreps thinking it'd be the same thing. I'm comparing them though, and it looks like the Reebok is a bit more of a hook and closed versus the Kreps. Does the Reebok curve have a known code or name? It was a Scheifele pro stock if that helps anyone. Here are some pics...Mystery Curve left, Kreps right.Switched-- Kreps left, Mystery curve right

flip12 720 Report post Posted October 3, 2014 You can get the code from the shaft of your Reebok, from what I've read of others doing. As far as it being a known variation of an E28, probably not. There are lots of close to Kreps tweaks out there and they'd all probably just be called Kreps in resale posts. Here it looks like the basic difference is Scheifele just took away the heel curve in the Kreps and also brought the top back in toward neutral a little bit, exactly as you said. A2rhino 63 Report post Posted October 3, 2014 Comparing both pics the curves look similar however the shape of the blade is what looks different. E28 may be a bit more open. The big question is do they feel similar to you? This looks very similar to a blade I have at home. I'll check and post later today.
CornTortillas 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2014 Haven't used the Easton yet. If they don't feel similar I'm getting on meds because that has to be a sign of severe OCD. Either way I'm starting to think I'm going nuts because I'll look at them and think "Oh yeah basically the same" and then at another angle the Reebok looks way more closed with way less heel. It's almost like a Kreps plus Warrior's Gionta. And regarding the code-- there isn't one on the shaft of the Reebok. I looked knowing I dug the curve when i first started using it, but the shaft just has Scheifele's name, nothing else. No build code either. Is there any other hidden spot where it might be printed? flip12 720 Report post Posted October 4, 2014 Another way to get a better look is to line the sticks up in the same place with respect to your camera and then layer one translucent image on top of the other one using a photo editor. But I think your earlier summary of the differences look the same to me, at least from the images you show. That sucks about not having codes on the shaft. If they're not there, I wouldn't know where else to look, but there may be another source of information in/on the stick I'm not aware of.
