what is the difference between these two sticks?

Recommended Posts

These are supposed to be identical 85 flex mako II shafts but they have these different codes and they're also placed differently on the shaft (doubt that means anything but who knows). I found one old post from non active member that said the C and B indicate 85 and 80 flex respectively, but then the next post down disputed that. perhaps someone in the years since has been able to confirm that or come up with some other explanation of these codes from easton?

Those are probably just batch codes. There's a sticker located further up the shaft next to the serial number/hologram that has the stick info on it. For example I have a pro stock stick with the code 29C325-166.

that is possible, however i have another of the same stick purchased 4 months ago that has the exact same code on it as the top one in the picture. it's possible they are from the same batch, but purchased 5 months apart i sort of doubt it.

Did you purchase the matching codes from the same store?
