Cage for ccm v08

Fm580? Bauer vision II? want to try a white cage this time around.

I prefer the Profile 2 due to the better chin cup design and thinner bars. It also seems to fit people and helmets better in general.

It should. I may or may not have done an installation on a V08/V10, I don't remember.

I've used CCM FM580, Bauer 4500, and Bauer Re-Akt on my CCM V08 with no problems.

Yes that should work. I put a Bauer Re-Akt on my helmet last year and I don't remember any major issues. I have a long face, so I have to tweak the J-clips but I have to do that on all my helmet and cage installs.

Alright, I tried to put a medium profile 2 on my medium v08. It's like the cage isn't wide enough when you "shut" it. Then the cage doesn't fit up into the j clips. I have to lower the clips to meet the cage but can't cuz they don't line up right. They are the j clips and hardware that came with the profile 2. I can only get one screw back in the j clip. But not the other. It's like the screw isn't long enough. Weird. I may try a large profile 2 or fm 580

If the cage is just a bit narrow, you could stretch them wider yourself.

I tried the fm 580. Didn't like it. So tried a large profile 2. Really like it. I know the clips are supposed to be flipped the other way but it worked better like this. Will this cause any issues? The cage is about a quarter inch from the j clips. I'd lower the clips but this is as low as they'll go. Is it a safety issue of cage isn't all the way up in j clips?

No, those clips are proper. Only certain Itech cages and the FM580/480 are designed to be clips down.

Don't worry about the Jclips, you're fine.
