IPv6Freely 2096 Report post Posted July 21, 2015 Wrapped in bubble wrap, sent USPS. UPS won't take a stick without it being in a box.

YesLanges 128 Report post Posted July 22, 2015 Anytime I've shipped a stick domestically via USPS, it cost $6.70 and about a dollar less than that when I purchased the postage through e-bay. I always contact sellers who list much higher shipping fees to ask them to agree to the cheapest actual USPS postage. One seller did that for me last week and then told me that it became a big mess that cost him roughly $50 (from Florida to NY). I felt bad for him but don't understand it. All I've ever done is twist and tape a couple of garden trash bags tightly around them and 2 small pieces of cardboard slightly larger than the blade taped in place sandwiching the blade. He also asked for my address after saying it cost him $50, so I have no idea what happened on his end. I've never had an issue shipping a stick.
SirJW 207 Report post Posted July 22, 2015 Best is to wrap it, weigh it and print shipping label at home. Drop off at PO. No questions asked and no run around for higher services.
icewalker_bg 126 Report post Posted July 22, 2015 You guys in the US lucky as hell. I remember reading some times ago this guy shipping sticks for under 5$ within the US with USPS, crazy prices no wonder USPS had financial issues lol. On the contrary, in Canada, it costs me anywhere between 30-40$ within Canada, 40-50$ to US and 400-500$ to Europe. I use bubble wrap too or even floating floor underlay, its cheaper and it stronger IMO.
