CCM replacement tounge

I have a pair of CCM Tacks skates.. They're about 4-5 months old (so just outside the warranty).. Tonight after practice I noticed the tounge on my right skates plastic completely cracked, and is falling off.

 

I love the skates and they're still in great shape.. I'm wondering if anyone knows if CCM will sell just the tounges to me since I'm outside of the warranty...

 

If not what are some solutions? I kind of want a good tounge since I play and ref a lot And wear them very often.. I also tie my skates pretty tight so I don't want lace bite..

 

I was thinking about maybe buying a decent pair or used skates and having a tailor take the old tounges out and out the new ones in.. But I'm talking about probably $200-250 for to do something like that...

 

Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated.. I can't really afford right now to buy a new pair of skates already..

Go to your LHS and see if they can fix them. If not , you can put whatever tongue you desire on them technically. I would think it shouldn't cost more than 40$-80$ depending on the options.

Have you actually tried contacting CCM?  There's a good chance they will do something for you.
