Easton Synergy ST Lineage

Recommended Posts

Just out of curiosity.

The Easton Synergy ST has to be one of the most durable sticks ever, especially for a one piece. I believe it was constructed around the old Ultra-Lite shaft. It was replaced by the Mako M5 if i'm not mistaken, and then what....

It may not have all the slick technology of other sticks, but its dependable and saves you money longterm. I've always bought longer lasting sticks rather than buying top end sticks that would break. I still have an old school TPS Tri-Core shaft that is still kicking too.

Any thoughts on what the most durable stick is this day?

I didn't personally use the ST but I felt like the Mako/Velocity Lines played much differently than the previous Synergy Line. I haven't used the 2016 Synergy Line either but my guess is that there is a big difference in playability there too.

Synergy ST > Mako M5 > Mako M5 II > Velocity V7 > Synergy 850

IMHO, the Sherwood Rekker EK15 then theWarrior Qr Pro are the 2 toughest top end sticks in recent memory.

I've never heard a "middle of the road" opinion when it comes to EK15 durability.  Every person I hear mention them either says they're tanks or the most brittle, fragile thing they've ever touched.  Haven't gotten my hands on one myself, it's just funny how polarizing that particular stick seems to be in terms of perceived durability.

I think it boils down to one's interpretation of durability.  Some will say that as long as it doesn't snap, it's still great, while others will say that the minute it starts to lose some pop, it's dead.

Have owned 3 Ek15's, first one lasted me 15 months, second lasted almost 11 months and the last one is going on about a year  or more of abuse.  Hasn't seen much action lately as A)I have only played once since October and B)Was doin' an LTR on the QRL so when I play I will be using that. Also worth noting that not one of my Ek's lost their pop.

the Kevlar/graphite combo seemed to help the durability as far as getting hacked and slashed. The cost of sticks is getting stupid, but nobody seems to be making much that really lasts anymore.
