No More Vector Skates?

Different look and they have added the Vector lacelock to the skate.  They also ditched PL3.

I can understand your point LickerLongTail but some peoples feet only fit into CCM skates, so this is a pretty big blow to them.

your right....i can't fit bauer...only CCM!!! :(

Same here...I wish like hell I could wear a different brand of skate, but my feet are soooo weird, they only fit into CCM skates, I wanted to try out the XX's when they came out, but they just didn't fit right...my feet are just toooooo weird

You're correct thunderbirds. The tack line has been redone and E-blades have been put inplace of the Pro-lites. Also the Pro Tack is totally redone, and it looks as thought the ankle is VERY low on them. Also some of the tacks have T-blades on them.

No theres a whole new tack line for 2006, Vectors are replaced by RBK's. The RBK's are essentially different colored Vector with different logos.

Thank you all for introducing me to the joy of these word things. The 2005 update to the Tacks line has been pretty well covered here already, it's the 2006 update referred to by Stix that has me confused. Any more info on that - are CCM going to start updating the Tacks yearly instead of every two years?

I just finished talking to one of the Product Managers at THC and he has told me that the Vector line is staying put and will be expanded in the future.

Oh, you know. There was a commercial not to long ago where a guy buys the latest and greatest computer, and then on the way home from the store he sees a billboard of his new computer being changed to the next new model. It just figures. Tacks have been the same for the last 4 years and when I buy them the new "body style" comes out. :(
