ccm 50k skates vs. reebok 20k skates

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know how the Reebok 20k skates compared to the 50k skates or even the 70k skates?  The last reebok pair of skates I used was the 20k and they fit me very well.  I heard that the Reebok Ribcor skate was a different fit than the 20k.  Is this true?  How does the 50k fit?  I haven't been able to try a pair of 50ks on unfortunately.  Thank you in advance

ribcor line is much narrower than 20k's thru the heel and forefoot. The ribcor has the narrowest heel of the 3 ccm lines. The RBZ would have been a closer fit and now you would look at the Tacks line.

@Vet88 is right about the 50K being narrower than the 20K. Depending on how the 20K fits you the 50K may be too narrow but it was a great move for me.

I just moved from 20K to 50K and I realize now that the 20K was kind of a sloppy fit on me. I did go down 1/2 size from 20K to 50K though so that was definitely a big factor. I skated on the 50K for two hours the first time without baking and there was no significant discomfort. I've got a small protrusion on my right foot that may require a minor punch on the forefoot of the 50K but that same spot gave me problems in the over-sized 20K as well. I expect that I would have had to punch the 20K if they'd been sized properly from the start.

Oops, I forgot to mention that the ribcor sizing up to the 50k was different from the 20k line. Glad you liked them, I think they are a good boot.
