Siponarius 17 Report post Posted February 13, 2019 I have a pair of Nexus Havoks I’ve had since release, playing 1-2 times a week. Nothing overly physical. Last week I noticed some weird peeling of the graphics, and upon closer inspection, some good cuts. Is this something to be expected with newer constructed skates? VegasHockey 1282 Report post Posted February 13, 2019 With a tech mesh skate cuts are going to happen. Just use some epoxy and minimize the fraying.
Siponarius 17 Report post Posted February 13, 2019 I don’t think it’s tech mesh (I wish it was), I think it’s fiber composite. But I suppose epoxy would work regardless
shoot_the_goalie 281 Report post Posted February 13, 2019 Doesn't look like anything out of the ordinary. I have much worse gouges/cuts on my older skates (most of which are composite)
Sniper9 535 Report post Posted February 16, 2019 They're ice skates. They will be subject to many more gashes, cuts, puck marks etc. It's what happens. I wouldn't lose sleep over it.
