question about 8090s

I currently wear a vapor xx 8.5 d. i have a chance to get 8090s real cheap, and want to know what size would be best. i know you guys will say to go try them on, but i dont have a good LHS close to me. I know they run big/wide in fit. im thinking like in the range of 6.5-8 but not sure. what do you guys think?

I would guess 8 and maybe a C width.

that won't help if the width is wrong. You may be fine with the D width if the XX's were tight.

They're definitely wide, but not that much bigger (longer) than a Vapor. I'd wear a 9EE, or 9D with major stretching, in a Vapor, and I fit very well into a 9D 8090.
