caveman27 208 Report post Posted June 7, 2020 Supreme Ultrasonic https://www.bauer.com/en-US/goalie-hockey-gear/goalie-supreme/ Vapor 2X Pro https://www.bauer.com/en-US/goalie-hockey-gear/goalie-vapor/ One thing questionable between the two lines is which one is for butterfly/blocking goalies and which one is for hybrid/reactive goalies? The Supreme line looks like it is for butterfly/blocking goalies who want the flexible gear designed for reactive goalies.
IPv6Freely 2092 Report post Posted June 7, 2020 Those distinctions aren’t really a thing anymore. They tried so hard to market them that way but it’s pretty much died out. It mostly just depends on preferences now.
Hills 712 Report post Posted June 8, 2020 Brands will still use those distinctions for marketing tools... but it is personal preference and Bauer really doesn't have a soft pad anymore. Vapors are stiffer than every brand's retail paid out there BUT CCM Axis which is basically the same stiffness. It is kind of the problem with Bauer atm, they are totally ignoring the "soft" pad crowd that tended to go with the hybrid and reactive style of goalies.
