Recommended Posts

i just recieved a new kovalev true one and its really really nice but it came really short. i put a long end plug in which made it perfect but i wonder if it takes away from performance and also i want to know if i can find a longer composite end plug like in the stealth but longer. also has any one used the kovy curve its so perfect for and shot. i used to be attached to the sackic but now i am in love with my kovy!

Innovative does makes great sticks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can partly answer your question. I asked HKY GURU on the Easton message board awhile back and this is what he had to say, HKY GURU: "Custom composite end plugs have been in the hands of NHL players since about March of Last year. The feedback from thee guys was very positive. The program will continue. As for retail, The comp end plugs are still a bit expensive they would have to retail for about $19.99. It would be best if the cost could get down to the $9.99 range. Time sill tell. ----GURU----" Hope that helps!

Hey PuckHog, there's a thing I don't understand, why do you say your True One is a pro stock...Are you sure it's not a retail?

Anyway, the True One is a great stick...enjoy.

1800 faceoff and Perani's were selling "pro-stock" true1's with retail curves. They were all significantly shorter than standard retail sticks for some reason.

When you got it, how long was the shaft (before the end plug) from the heel to the top?

it was about 53" long plus a 3 inch end plug but i had to buy a bigger end plug and cut it doen so now my stick is about 55 1/2 but two inches i found out makes a big difference when out on the ice

I bought 2 Kovy "pro stock" True 1s about a year ago. They were regular length pro stock sticks with the retail patttern. I really like the balance and feel of these sticks, but, as I've mentioned on this board before, both of them quickly developed a split along the top of the blade starting at about 2 inches from the toe. The cracks, which ultimately grew to about 3 inches long, caused the blade to soften quie a bit. Curious to know if this is a recurring problem or just my crappy luck.
