stick9 892 Report post Posted June 8, 2023 Anyone currently using them? Thoughts? $249 at IW seems like a decent enough deal for a sub-400g stick. Though I wonder if I should just spend a bit more an FT5 pro, which I use and love.
Hills 712 Report post Posted June 8, 2023 I'd pay the $11 more for the FT5 Pro. Sherwood is a solid stick, but I keep going back to the FT5 Pro for better shooting and feeling a bit lighter.

One was stupidity, the other was age. Anyway, I grabbed a pro-stock off HSM. I'll continue to scourer the web for others.

I might have some top tier stick options for you at a low price.

The balance of the Sherwood feels more blade heavy and I found it had a little bit more blade and shaft distortion in the shot release, I kept putting my snap wrist shot over the bar until I adjusted to it. Overall, for it's price point versus a top of the line stick it's good value for money but for $11 extra I would get a FT5 pro every time. However.... I know a guy who has just started using one and he breaks sticks about as regularly as the sun comes up (this year so far he gone thru 3 Hyperlite's, 5 Trigger 6's, 2 RX3's and 3 AS-V pro's) so if it lasts him more than 2 weeks it's one hell of a stick. I'll let you know.
