Tackla Breezer 3D Pro Zone Girdle?

Recommended Posts

Has anyone here tried the Tackla 3D Pro Zone girdle? They look awesome to me, but I have no way of trying them out so I'd love to read some comments on them.

Tackla Breezer 3D ProZone Ice Hockey Girdle

I can't find these for sale in Canada, but I can get them shipped to my door from Finland for $270 CAD (which is expensive, but honestly....I already wasted $250 on the Bauer ACP that I hate, so I just need to find the right fitting girdle.)

By the way, I'm currently wearing a pair of Bauer Vapor X60's that I like, but they are falling apart after many years of use......which brings me to another question, has anyone here went from the Vapor X60 girdle and found a similar fitting girdle?

Have you ever tried Tackla pants?
It will have a similar fit with very tight waist and around the kidneys, but will also fit quite tight around the legs..

If you liked a Vapor girdle, you’ll probably like the Tackla one aswell. The difference is going to be the amount of protection. The tackla girdle is padded all around where the old Vapor girdle har more weak spots.

The only place the Tackla girdle lack protection is the belly.

Wow...   THAT is a nice looking girdle!!!!   I had a Tackla girdle some years ago and the fit was snug and true to size.  Really a great fit but there were protection gaps that this has clearly addressed.  I'm actually tempted to try this!!

Late to the party on this, but I just received my Tackla X1 Prozone girdle and I love it. I'm coming from CCM H45 pants and with the shell they weigh about the same. I love how they mold to the body yet still are protective. I tried the Bauer girdle and felt exposed. Did you end up purchasing them? How has it been?

Has anyone tried this model (https://tackla.eu/tuote/tackla-x1-breezer-prozone-ice-hockey-girdle-sr/)?  I can’t tell where it sits in the lineup but based on the pricing I would guess it’s meant to be the premium version.

I would love to try these but my problem is I need L+1” sizing (6’3” with a 33” waist) so I have to stick with models that have adjustable legs.  Back in the day Tackla used to be awesome regarding doing custom leg lengths, back when they used to do euro sizing on the pants and you could really dial things in.  I’m sure they wouldn’t do that for a girdle today but I wish they would.

If you want a tackla pant with +1” option your’e pretty much stuck with Air 9000 or 951 Advantage pants.

I’m not so impressed by the new Tackla X1 girdle and the new pants (which are just about the same pant as True Catalyst 9x4)

Me and my son went to Finland a few months back (we live close to the Finnish border) looking for hockey gear for the upcoming season.

My son actually tried on the X1 girdle and the X1 Pants.. Both were light and mobile, but lacked the bulletproof feeling of old tackla pants. All the plastics felt thinner/softer and the padding did not feel as plush as before. If you had tackla pants in the past, you will be disapointed..

We actually ended up buying another pair of Tackla Expp55 pants for him. The lower cut front and kidney pads fits his shorter torso great.

These are being sold on this side under the True brand.
