iceman8310 106 Report post Posted 19 hours ago I've had the worst experience with the Trues recently. They didn’t fit, were too big, and didn’t feel as good as a previous pair of True Skates or VH Footwear skates I’ve had in the past. I’m back to square one, and nothing on the market seems to fit. I’m running out of options. The last thing I want to do is settle for something I'm unhappy with, and while I don’t want to hang up the skates for good, it’s starting to feel like that might be the only choice. I’m not looking for responses like "True Skates worked for me," as that doesn’t really help me right now. Should I visit another store for a new scan and more measurements? Any suggestions? IPv6Freely 2094 Report post Posted 19 hours ago Were your True just from your old VH tracings, or from a scan (or a scan + tracings?) I really have to wonder if they just managed to mess up your order and if you were happy with VH maybe just having them built on your previous tracings, without a scan, might be worth a shot? Logically it wouldn't make a ton of sense - you'd think more shape data would be better - but you never know, I guess?

I still have my VH footwear skates. They beat up but they still fit. I’ve emailed them a bunch and they said there’s nothing they can do and a rescan wouldn’t help I wonder why that is. My VH I have to wear extremely thin socks With my trues there’s a lot of space. To much space even with the foam tabs. I really want to now what happened

What other "custom" skates have you had other than VH/True. Seem to remember you had a bunch of older Bauer high end skates over the years but don't remember if they were retail or custom? I've seen too many fit issues with Trues and advise those looking for a one-piece boot to go CCM. I've only had Bauer customs over the years, but if I was going to go with a one-piece skate I, myself, would be going with a JetSpeed. Maybe Buzz can weigh in as I believe he's had Mako, Bauer, and CCM customs.

The VH footwear were great. I did use for makos for a bit. They got too soft quickly. My issue is the fact now after using the VH footwear over the years, I tried different brands and still like the lower cut and stiff bottom of the boot.
