New Jerseys

Recommended Posts

I found a place in town that does lettering on jerseys really reasonable. It's cheaper than buying the team kits and it only takes a week (instead of a month). The lettering for the names is a little different than the kits, but overall I'm quite happy with how they turned out.

Check it out:

For those who don't know...Andrei Kostitisyn is one of the Habs top prospects.

I also recently found a steal on ebay. Authentic Saku Koivu Jersey (not game worn). You all know what these usually go for, I got it for $100 (US).

Saku Jersey

I guess I'm kinda collecting jerseys now. I also have a Colarado Joe Sakic.

that Andrei K is sick...he's going to be a stud, singlehandedly ripped the US junior team a new one.

I watched him play the Road Runners about a month ago. He is very good. The Habs are luck to have him.

$45.00each. I already had the jerseys, so it was a no brainer. The kits are $60...and I think you still have to pay to get it put on. They usually take a month to a month and a half to get the kit itself.

I'm just cheap, so I went this route.

[EDIT] btw, the numbers on the Dogs shirt aren't a normal font. The Dogs had it designed specially for those jerseys. I brought them a picture of Kostitsyn and they cut the numbers custom...no extra charge.

I know they aren't exact...if the jerseys were authentics, I'd go with the Official Kit, but seeing as how they are replica, I'm cool with that.

Unfortunately, the namebar on twill is not correct. The name is supposed to be sewn onto a strip of fabric that is the same type as the jersey before being sewn on the back.

its illegal, my buddy's parents own a shop here in calgary, and during the run they were cresting jerseys like crazy. then they got a letter from the nhl / pa cant remember but they were going to sue if they were to keep cresting the jerseys. they were forced to buy the kits.

You mean it's illegal to do them exact? Or to do NHL names at all.

I didn't realize this, but when you buy an NHL "kit" there is a certain amount that goes to the team (or player I can't rememeber). If you order a Pro Style kit with a Non NHL name (ie: Your own name) you have to add a surcharge (I think it's like $9)
