yeah, it's not as bad as the days when mario put up 200+ points, it's even better than about 10 years ago when ramzi abid from the penguins put up 266 points.

The QMJHL is getting better defensively, but I think that's how they got so many good goalies over the past few years - they had to be good or else they'd lose!

Crosby is doing great, but Mario's 282 is a tough number to reach. How Ramzi Abid got 266 is beyond me!!

It will be interesting to see how Crosby's carreer goes. Can we tell much from great years in junior hockey?

What I'm more impressed by is the 75 assists.

A lot of those could be Lemieux assists---rebound goals.

nah, from what I've seen with him, it's him setting people up. he has sick vision

I must say I am coming around to him. Although the highlights I saw from the WJC his goals were just tap ins, he is living up to the hype as best as someone could.

I've seen him at the World cup Jr, in his team this year and last year and a lot of his goals are just tap ins. Sure he did great goals but a lot are just crappy tap ins.

His best skills is surely his skating. Althought he has a good vision of the ice too.

Tap ins aren't always crap though. It's not like he's infront of the net banging away all game (still not crap IMO), but he finds open ice. Much like Hull, he seems to get away from the D and "disappear". You don't score 50 tap-in goals. Alot of the goals in the WJC were from the side of the net, but you can't hold it against him that they wanted him to handle the puck in the corners. He got others, just the majority were on the PP and its tough to excel on a team which rolls 4 lines.

Lets see how he plays when he makes it to the show. I can't count how many times I've heard the "next One". I agree with most of the scouts, in that he will be a Forsberg type, tought to knock off the puck and great in the corners

I agree while I don't think he will be the next Alexandre Daigle, he might not be the next Lemieux. I think it would be great for hockey if he were the next thing but like you said who knows until he gets there.

It never really suprises me to see Q players with big numbers, they love the run and gun game in that league. The further west you go the more physical it becomes and right now the West is Best.

I can't agree with you. How can you say the west is better just because it's more physical?

The WHL is producing more top notch players than the OHL and Q put together and this has been the case for a good long time. Look at the Canadian Jr team, 13 players from the Western Hockey League, before this year the last coach to win the gold was from the WHL.

I think it has to do with the travel, or maybe something in the water but the West is Best and thats where the majority of Canadian Professionals are coming from at present. It used to be southern Ontario but not anymore,
