Is the V130 Defective?

Recommended Posts

Let me premise by saying that I do not know if this is fact or fiction.

A few customers have been coming in recently with broken V130s that they bought a week or so ago, and the blade has been falling apart (by that I mean that the outer covering of the blade is pealing back and off and such).

These customers called CCM and CCM's response was that a bad batch of the sticks went out and it is being corrected. CCM said that they would take the hit for their mistake and send the customer a V110 now, and another V130 once the problem was corrected. (The customer can keep both sticks)

Any thoughts? Anyone else had a similar experience?

(Yes, I searched)

Not if you break it while using it. If you go get one and run it over a truck ( :P ) then it could be, but not if you just buy it and break it during normal use.

It's a good deal, and very nice on CCM's part, but it seems to be a MAJOR flaw that alot of people are experiencing. I just wish there would be an easier way to grab them then shell out that kind've cash for a stick expecting to break. I don't think I've heard of a person who has not warantee'd the V130. Then they have to wait for a few months while playing with an ABS bladed stick. It's a great deal on their part, I just wonder how they could let a major flaw like this come through. I know a few companies have had issues with the first run, just not to this extent.

Wow.... that's a real f-up. Bad R&D can kill a product like this. Now adays, what's the hype-life for these ueber expensive sticks? 1 year? I agree with EZ, Not good, not good at all.

Bad R&D can kill a product from a smaller brand. THC, BNH and Easton don't have to worry about it nearly as much. Marketing will make up for a lot of problems.
