Bauer Kovalchuk = Easton Sakic?

Recommended Posts

I'd say lindros, the lie is closer and it's still a mid curve. You're only missing the loft. The 106 is a heel curve and a lower lie

Kovalchuk = Drury

there not quite the same, i think the kovalchuk curves at the heel, then twist, while the drury just twists.

The ones I have in front of me right now are identical

The 106 doesn't look or play like a heel. It's more of a mid in reality. I'm looking at mine right now. Sure, the curve starts at the heel, but it curves throughout the whole blade and most of the curve is right in the middle of the blade. The only "true" heel curves IMO are the ones like Drury that are just like heel wedges that don't really curve.

So we should all accept your definition despite our own experience or reality?

Well that's up to you. I thought you knew that IMO stands for "in my opinion," but I guess I need to be more clear from now on.

I can name about 600 heel curves that aren't just twists at the heel.

I doubt you could name 600 curves period, but if you think you can, then I'll just go along with you. But all I was saying was that what others may consider a heel curve, I may not. I didn't want everyone to get all pissy on me.

The Kovalchuk curves that I have seen are identical to the Drury. You cant compare wood blades to composite because they are different. I have a tough time finding two Lidstrom wood blades that match each other, and they are different yet to the comopsites.

yea, i deffinetly see what you mean ambro. i just checked out a jokinen and it doesn't seem to far off from the sakic. its deffinetly not like the drury or carter curves that i have seen which is what a consider a true heel curve
