bauer 8000's versus 8090's

i just wanted to know how the fit of these two skates compares? i have a pair of 8000's and i need a new pair of skates.

8090s are much wider in the forefoot. I need EE in the 8000 and it's still a bit tight but I can get by with a D in the 8090.

chadd i was hearing rumors that the 8090 is pretty much a stripped down version of the 8000? and in your opinion(well bauer replaced the 8000 with the 6000)is the 6000 just as nice as the 8000 of years past?

Wrong and wrong...the 8090 is an improved version of the 8000, (lighter) and the 6000 did not replace the 8000. Its been out for almost three years now, still a mid-line skate.

The 8090 is not based on the 8000. It's based on the Mega/Bauer 90.
