Start throwing in little hints, and she how she acts towards them. If she responds good then go threw with it, if she reacts bad then back away!

Sometimes a group thing can be a little easier first situation. You could try to organize something like that, with about 4-6 mixed friends and invite her. If you want a "date", just ask her if she'd be interested in a move. I always liked the first movie date when I was younger. You generally can walk there and back. You need a convo the way there, and the movie you watch (no talking) and the way home you can discuss the movie. It's a good way to go if your worried about being too shy or just unconfident.

Its acutally not that simple, if you ask them exactly what you want to kno then u reveal all your cards and if this girl is not interested in you she can pretend to be knowing ur crazy for her which can lead to u being used either for money or just her little confidence booster (everytime she feels bad she looks to u to suck up and make her feel wanted). Youve been friends for a year which is doesnt work to your advantage much becasue girls dump you into 3 categories when you first meet :1. Potential relationship material 2. Potentail friend 3. Not disirable at all. So what I am seeing here is that you might be number 2 and once ur in her "just friends" list then its almost impossible to get out. If she feels the same way about u then she would alrdy be dropping hints like saying: "theres this movie i would like to watch" or refernceing to an activity u both could do together. The best way to determine if she likes u or not without being played is to read her body language and she how she acts around other guys. If shes a flirt then the attention u been getting is misleading you. If a girl likes u then she will be nervous around you so look for fidgetting, nervous reaction when your around etc..., if shes absoultely comfortable around you its an indication that ur for sure number 2.

But anyways if u still wanna risk rejection just ask her out: "Let's go to (movie u pick) on (exact date). What this does is this shows confidence, u alrdy picked a movie u kno when u wanna do it so thats the best way. Keep this in mind tho, pick a movie that she will likly to enjoy and a time which u think will be good for her and immediately after u tell her to go to the movie dont justify it cuz that shows insecurity. You have to portray that ur a guy that has his stuff together. If she says I am busy and doesnt state another time when she is avalibale then your done, this girl dosent like u enuff to reschedule so ur best just being her friend if you get a simple: 'I am busy".

Just rember it takes a lot of balls just to ask a girl out so when ur doing it show some confidence instead of acting all nervous, u alrdy went the distance just to aproach her so why not finish the proposition off with confidence. Its just like being on a brakeway without evening trying to deke out the goalie, you have a chance just do what u gotta do.

just balls up and ask her, even if you do get rejected, it's not like you'll never find anyone else. don't be too clingy around her, because she'll get annoyed, be confident and don't think about it too much or blow it out of proportion. welcome to the board, and good luck

Start dropping clues. Go on some outings as friends to see if you can actually make this work out. If you have any doubts about this working out, I'd scratch the entire idea altogether.

Dont do it online or over the phone, do it in person for sure.

Theres been some good advice so far.

I remember when I was your age I was in the same situation, and I did some stupid things like asking her stuff like "what do you think of me" and even tho she might have liked me back it kind of puts them on the spot and they dont like that. I made some other dumb mistakes too, lol, o well u live and u learn.

I wouldn't say "I like you" because for some reason whenever you go and tell a chick you like her it usually it doesnt work in your favor. Show her you like her with your actions, not words. At your age just showing some confidence and acting like a man will put you ahead of other guys your age. Like the others said just be cool about it and ask her out. "Hey I was wondering if you wanted to go to xxxxx on xxxx" B)

Movies are alright... I always preferred to do something where you're actually doing some kind of activity instead of just watching a movie in a theater. Something like going to a fair, putt putt golf, Ice Skating ;) plus if she cant skate then she'll be falling all over you and you'll have to help her and hold her hand and all that other good stuff, lol.

I know you said she probably likes you too but sometimes when you've been friends with a girl for awhile she thinks of you as just that... a friend. If she tries to pull that "lets just be friends" line, then uhhhh.... come back for more advice :D

hahahaha.....

this is speaking purely from experience:

when you've grown up, you'd understand that once you get to know a girl real well, or when youve just started, if the relationship is friendship at first, even if you think its not, but she does, then its gona be purely friendship for life.

although its not entirely for certain....

although im not a ladies man, but i think i do know a bit. like what everyone else is saying, i would say just talk to her about it, and see were she stands and if she could see you as a bf way.

if youve chilled with her a bit already, it might be hard for her to adjust from hanging with friends (you), and then switching to dating with you.

but because of the fact you guys are still in grade 9, then theres a good chance that she'll go for it.

my advice is, you're young. THe chances you will marry this girl are slim, so just go out and have fun. Dating is some of the most fun you can have in life. The chase and the first few months or weeks are classic and you should enjoy them for what they are. I would go in with the mentality that you just want to get to know her better and enjoy the time that you have, maybe that will make it a little less stressful. I agree though do something other than a movie and group activities are always good too it makes it easier on the two of you until you get more comfortable then you can solo. Also if she says no, the world won't end and you can chat with your mates about rejection, those talks are always classic too.

Haha like freg said it you can talk to your friends about it after if it doesnt happen for you. I'd say just take it like a champ and ask her and if she says no then her loss, if she says yes then go for it.

I know what you're talking about bro, I was in this exact same situation a little over a month ago. We went out a few times together with a group and without, I knew she was going to say yes, just didn't know how to actually ask her. I don't know if this is how you're supposed to ask it, but I was pretty sure she'd say yes regardless of how I asked her so I just said "would you like to be my girlfriend?" and as I expected, she said yes. :)

Good luck man, I hope everything goes as smoothly for you as it has for me. B)

i think girls always like you when you have a girlfriend.

i had a friend/girl who liked me when i had a girlfriend, then when we broke up, i asked the friend/girl out...i took too long and i guess we were too good of friends by then. denied.

then, i had another friend/girl like me when i had a girlfriend. after we broke up i wanted to ask the friend/girl out but was afraid i'd be denied again, so i didn't.

my advice:

1) don't wait too long...but

2) if you really like her, ask anyways.

better to try and be denied then regret not trying.
