Players Bench in Denver

Recommended Posts

Just FYI for you Denver locals that Players Bench (Tamarac) has the SL, ST, and Grip Stealths.

I just got my SL for $30 as part of a skate trade in :)

well it depends on wether its grip or not. Regulars look pretty good but the grip is nasty color if you ask me. once again its about performance, not color

Yea I'll third that the ST grips look gross. Looks like an octane...

What skates did you trade in, Ponty?

Black Flies with T-blades. It was a test gone bad :(

Both those shops are top notch. Very knowledgable employees. I went into both of them with every intention of spending $150 on a product and I had three employees independently talk me out of buying it because they didn't think I'd be happy with it. That, IMO, is good customer service.

The Players Bench in Dallas is the same way. I wanted to order Great White Graf G3's and they talked me out of it! They said the white leather wasn't as durable, and they'd rather not see me for 5 years than see me in 2 because the white leather was shot. If only they were car salesman.

Ponty, I just called PB Tamarac and spoke with a 'James' to see what patterns they had. They had a 85 in Drury, but when I asked him about doing a "skate trade in" for a better deal on one of those sticks, he had no clue what I was talking about. I said my skates were fairly new and he said they didn't do anything like that. I know they have a pretty big stock of used skates...so I'm wondering if he was confused about my question or...??

Sorry bud. I had some skates that I sold on consignment. That money went towards my account.
