but the durability is still gonna suck probably

Why don't we keep our posts constructive.

that wasnt constructive?? I was just stating that i think the synthesis blade durabiltity isnt up to par for me :)

The durability isn't nearly as bad as the feel. I just don't see the need to pay extra for Easton to fix the feel problem inthe regular Synth blades.

It's one of the worst feeling composite blades ever made. I'm not the only one who feels that way. Try an Inno blade, much better.

Hmm, they have a website you know.

No measurements on any of their stuff, last time I looked.

The Inno McCarty is a mid hook with a 5 lie, I'm pretty sure of. I would get it, but it's too huge for me and too low of a lie. Check it out.

The Selanne pattern was a 1/2" mid with a 5 lie. They killed it or renamed it but I remember H&S had some. They're not listed on their site anymore but i'd give them an email to check.

The McCarty would be the closest, but it is a pretty big hook. The Selanne isn't available as a tapered blade.

I just heard teh funniest thing. I told this guy ( we call him oaf) that the synthesis si-core retailed for 139.99 CAD, as a joke, and he said "thats as much as he paid for the shaft, but ohwell anything for 139.99 must be worth it". what a joke

I was wondering about the weight of this blade. Im looking to throw it into an XN-10 R2. My big concern is the weight of this blade. i dispise (no clue how to spell it) blade heavy sticks, and at the moment can only use an XN-10 and a Vapor XX because of the balance. Would this blade throw the balance off because of the weight?

Don't forget that Easton weights are usually 5-10 g off. Also, I don't think the two blades weigh the same. If the Synergy's weigh differenty, and are exactly the same thing except one has silicon in the blade, then wouldn't the Si-Core blade weigh at least a few grams more because of the silicon injected into it.

But don't they also claim all of the blades are the same? I haven't looked in a while but I know a Modano is lighter than a Shanny.

I believe the weight posted is for the Modano since it's the smallest. GURU mentioned something like that before. Everyone does it, not just Easton.
